Tonight I have been glued to my TV watching the film on the left, not everyone's cup of tea I know, but definitely mine, the violence was very harsh but Tom Hardy played this notorious UK prisoner brilliantly. Like always Tom Hardy really played the role to the point of physically changing his appearance and piling on 3 stone of muscle for this part. Charlie Bronson really is an interesting if not slightly weird character, and his book "Silent Scream" will be definately added to my weird tast in biographies.

Changing the subject now completely I am off to my monthly crop at Wyverstone tomorrow, it's our yearly Macmillian crop, so let's hope there is lots of cake and money raised tomorrow. I will enjoy kicking back tomorrow as I have a full on week next week, which culminates in Mia's birthday on Saturday! Seven already, where does the time go???

I have been busy the last few days, catching up on normal day to day things, you know the things you really don't want to do but have to:)
But I did have the chance yesterday to photograph my ScrapaGoGo DT layouts for the "Mother Nature" Octobet kit. The Cosmo Cricket papers are amazing and the Jilli Bean Corrugated alpha is near enough edible...

Well the weekend entailed a very long drive to the ScrapaGoGo StoryTeller event in Bristol. All the ladies were brilliant and seemed to enjoyed out classes, it was a long day but I really enjoyed it, we finished it off with a lovely pub dinner, and I won't mention who, but somebody finished off their meal with this yummy afters (wasn't me!!)

Well I must congratulate myself (just incase anyone else doesn't! lol) I have given up smoking for a whole month as of yesterday. Surprisingly I found it quite easy, not like the hundreds of times I tried to give up before. Fingers crossed this is the end of smoking for me!!

It's Been a Long sad time....

It's been a while I know, but I feel the time is right to Blog again, sadly I lost my mum 3 months ago and felt it just wasn't right to post again, but feel in the last few days I have turned a corner and feel a bit better, I know I have a long way to go but the future seems a bit brighter...

September will see us stepping back into the traditional size we all love to scrap in, be it 12x12, or 8.5x11 whatever you favourite format. We will be creating three layouts that are based around the theme of “Life Lessons” - don't panic we will guide you gently through the creative process.

To help you get ready we suggest you prepare yourself for some honest journalling – something that you may not normally have written down, something that in the future will be of interest to those who discover the secrets of your scrapbooking.

Being a scrapbooker is just as much about letting the viewer learn about YOU as it is about learning about your holidays or family weddings etc, it’s a chance to write down some memories you have, wisdom, and experiences that may provoke the words “Wow.. I never knew that about my Mum/Dad/Sister/Brother” etc.

We have really been enjoying the lovely weather this weekend, Darren managed to get out on his bike today, and I took a lovely walk with Mia in the wood over the back from us. I shot some great photos and Mia as always was a very willing model

Life is pretty hectic at the moment, lots of scrapping and such like...

I'm preparing today for our DT weekend, L & J are taking us away for a girlie weekend with a bit of work throw in LOL! I have to organise myself and pack all my bits, and then sort Mia's clothes out for the weekend
We are off to the lovely place of Saffron Walden brings back memories of my childhood, as it's near where my Great Nan lived and spent mant a lovely day visiting her, I used to call her my Nanny in the Fields.
This weekend will be great for all of the DT to get together finally and have a good old chat

Am finally catching up with the HTE class, I am really enjoying the prompts and I am fairly up to date now

Here, there and everywhere

Bit of a short post here as I have a stinking cold at the mo, Today I am starting the new Shimelle class Here, There and Everywhere the sign up page can be found here Really looking forward to this class and hope I can use up some of the photos I have from holidays abroad

This week started off quite differently to how it finished, was struggling with creativity earlier in the week but certain events later on this week have boosted my Self confidence and set me off on quite a different path...

The weather here in Suffolk seems to have settled down now, although it's very cold and I don't think I will be venturing out much today. I have been playing on my PC and plan to continue with my DT work this afternoon, I can see this latest Scrapagogo kit being used right down to the last scrap!!

What a week of weather we have had in the UK, although we have had our fair share of the white stuff here in Suffolk I feel we got off very lightly compared to some parts of the UK. We managed to fit in a bit of sledging on the way home from school on Monday but by Tuesday morning all the snow had all but dissapeared.

I have had a real weird week this week, my self confidence with my abilities had hit an all time low, on countless occasions I sat at my desk and thats as far as I got, everything I tried just didn't work or didn;t look right, Couldn't even seem to match any papers together let alone create a LO.

So this morning I rifled through some older stash and Hey Presto! I think it has worked, I made a LO this morning and have started on a Mini book, with some papers I bought from LA.

I also managed to use a new Martha Stewart punch I bought, one of three (whoops!!)it is the tiny butterfly one and I love it!!

Hopefully will be receiving my Scrapagogo Design Kit in the next few days, so the creativity can really flow then. Will leave you with some pictures of my latest lo, and a close up of the butterfly punch.

Back Home....

and straight into snowy weather, it's a bit of a shock compared to the warm Californian weather, but a nice change. I had a great time in LA and really loved the CHA show there, although everyone was commenting on how quiet the show was this year compared to other years. Lots of great new lines, but such a shame my favourite paper manufacturer October Afternoon wasn't there, was really looking forward to seeing their new lines.

We had a great couple of days taking in the sights, seeing the Hollywood sign although it was raining when we visited it, and the smog was quite bad as well, we did a bit of blue bag shopping in Rodeo Drive and did the tour of the celebrities houses, I was quite dumbfounded when our fab driver Rob pulled up outside one house and then proceeded to tell us this was the house Elvis Presley lived in LA. What a shock, as anyone that knows me knows this was quite an event to be so close to his old house, and had to confess on the quiet to Janice that this actually took my breath away. How many times have I seen this house in books, pictures and films, the beautiful pool, where he spent lots of outrageous times with the Memphis Mafia. (Sad I know, but hey we all have our Heroes!!) This is also the house where he honeymooned with Priscilla in the late 1960's.

We also spent a day at DisneyLand, this was a great experience and so nice to see the original Park and to learn something of the history of the Disney experience.

Of course we spent lots of time eating and eating, one of my favourite meals was enjoyed at Kevin Costner's restaurant "The Clubhouse", the Pomegrante salad was out of this world, and I can't quite explain the taste of the Flirtini cocktail it was amazing.

Will stop waffling on and leave you with some pictures of this great trip.....

Not packed but pretty prepared for it, so hopefully tommorrow I will pack, need to get my $'s sorted tommorrow as well. It will be great to see the new releases at CHA and of course see all the sights and sounds of Los Angeles.

GoGo make Time.... For Yourself
Well that's where I was yesterday, We all had a great day at Wyverstone making gogo time for ourselves. I myself taught a "make your own" embellishment" class, followed by Karen's glorious mini book class, Helen's creative LO using a great set of stamps designed personally, Nicola's acrylic LO class, and lastly Eileens project class, which included A gift card and a neat idea of transfering a stamp to a wax candle. All the ladies really enjoyed the day and we are gratefull they all made the very cold and icy trip to Suffolk.
Look out for more GoGo day events throughout the year (perhaps in different locations!!)
